Built for Turbulence is a book series conceived as an expanding collection, written by Pascal Finette. This first volume, Outlearn, established the visual identity for the entire series, creating a scalable design system capable of accommodating future titles while remaining instantly recognizable. The challenge was to develop a bold and graphic language that could capture attention without limiting the flexibility of the collection as it grows.

The project was designed in collaboration with Martina Fontana and included the design of the front cover, back cover, and spine, defining a cohesive typographic structure, layout, hierarchy, graphic language, and color palette. This can be consistently applied across future volumes while allowing each title to develop its own identity.

The book explores learning as an active and iterative process rather than a linear progression. Inspired by ideas such as memory, accumulation, modular thinking, and continuous adaptation, the visual identity translates these principles into a bold geometric system. Condensed uppercase typography, bitmap inspired forms, and vibrant color combinations communicate momentum, confidence, and action, reinforcing the book's message of constant experimentation, growth, and progress.

Each book is defined by a main color that stands out while remaining in harmony with the others. Condensed, bold typography becomes the protagonist, establishing a strong and adaptable structure. Supporting elements such as dark blocks with bitmap or modular logic reinforce the concept, functional to the books' theme.
